The Minns Government’s New Planning Laws

If passed, this Bill will:

  • Bypass key environmental assessments and public consultation
  • Let developers avoid standards for open space, solar access, tree planting,
  • pollution control and more
  • Deem environmental impacts irrelevant
  • Undermine ICAC safeguards, opening the door to corruption
  • Sideline the Environment Minister by transferring power to a new Development Coordination Authority

This is reckless, anti-democratic, and dangerous.

Every community in NSW will be affected. The Hawkesbury in particular, is facing a wave of suburban developments. This Bill silences our voices and gives developers unprecedented power — over our green spaces, biodiversity, neighbourhoods, and local decision-making.

We must act now to stop it.
